Shortly after September 11, 2001 …
Jonathan Cahn was led in prayer to read about THE ASSYRIAN STRIKE ON ANCIENT ISRAEL (2 Kings 18) in 732 B.C.
As he was reading Isaiah 9, a single verse stood out to him:
“The bricks have fallen down,
but we will rebuild with dressed stone;
the fig trees have been felled,
but we will replace them with cedars.” (Is. 9:10)
That verse quoted the Jewish leaders who spoke as they were looking over the ruins of King Solomon’s Temple, DESTROYED BY THE ASSYRIANS who had captured the the Northern Kingdom of Israel (the “lost ten tribes”) and scattered the people, in fulfillment of their prophets’ warnings.
Isaiah 9:10 became the inspiration for Jonathan’s divinely inspired book, The Harbinger. (ISBN 978-1-61638-610-8)
The Harbinger is written in such a way that it reveals spiritual truths to a broad audience. It is likely to be read by non-believers because of its fictional format. But the prophetic elements revealed have solid TRUTH behind them.
Jonathan finished the book in four months, writing in his spare time! He claims the words would stream onto his computer whenever he sat down to write, as though they existed before he typed them.
But he had never written a book before and had no idea how to go about getting it published. However, he was absolutely certain the book was from God, so he committed his dilemma to the Lord.
Less than a week later, Jonathan was on his way to speak at a Christian gathering in Dallas, Texas. During a lay-over in Charlotte,N.C., he bowed his head to pray that the hand of God would intercede for His purpose and glory. When he opened his eyes a man sitting next to him started a conversation, then his demeanor changed.
The man began prophesying, saying that Jonathan was writing a book that would was “of the Lord. He foretold that everything in Johnathan’s life was about to change, and he would be known across the land. The man’s words paralleled a a scene he had written in The Harbinger concerning a writer who was told by a stranger that he would write a book about warning of judgment falling on America.
The man said his name was Hubie Synn. He is the same man who prophesied to David Tyree before the 2008 Super Bowl game between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots, saying that David would have an extraordinary platform for sharing the gospel. David went on to make a startling play that became known as the greatest in all of Super Bowl history up to that time.
You can read the details in The Harbinger Companion (ISBN 978-1-62136-245-6). Here is the reason that story is important:
Hubie Synn had a connection with Steve Strang, founder and CEO of Charisma Media, publisher of Frontline Books. Hubie put in a word for the book that he had been divinely told Jonathan was writing. Because of bad weather, Hubie’s flight had been postponed several times, until he finally found himself seated beside a Jewish man whose head was bowed in prayer.
A meeting was arranged between Jonathan and Steve Strang, who read The Harbinger and decided to publish it. Within the first week following its release in 2012, the obscure book became a national best seller.
So how does this all tie into the 9/11 tragedy? Well, the verse that Jonathan was led to read — Isaiah 9:10 — became the focal point of the prophecies revealed in The Harbinger. In the next file, I will begin sharing the details of each prophesy (one per file) and its 9/11 connection.
